Julianne Hough and Scooter Braun were recently seen enjoying a day out in New York City. Their outing on Friday, September 6, saw the dancer and actress, 36, and the retired music executive, 43, strolling together through the city streets. According to a source, the pair are simply friends.
During their time together, Hough and Braun took in the late summer weather, sipping iced coffee as Hough walked her dog, Sunny. They both dressed casually for the occasion; Braun wore a white T-shirt, shorts, sneakers, and a baseball cap, while Hough sported a chic take on the Canadian tuxedo, complemented by chunky sunglasses and kitten heels.

As Hough prepares to host season 33 of Dancing with the Stars later this month, Braun has announced his retirement from music management, having stepped away from the industry in June.
Both Hough and Braun, who finalized their divorces last year, are currently not publicly involved with anyone romantically. Braun’s separation from his ex-wife, Yael Cohen, was finalized in September 2022 after their divorce filing in July 2021. The couple shares three children.
Hough’s divorce from former hockey player Brooks Laich, which was announced in May 2020 and finalized in June 2022, has also been a subject of reflection for her. On the August 12 episode of Armchair Expert with Dax Shepard, Hough discussed the end of her marriage, stating, “Our relationship and our marriage were exactly right, and the end of it is right too. We had regrets about it not working out, as we didn’t have the maturity to make it work.”
Hough described their relationship dynamics, noting that while Laich was “contracting,” she was “expanding,” leading them into their own protective modes. Despite their separation, she expressed that Laich had “the greatest heart” and she feels privileged to have been with him.
