Invincible season 2 spoilers
Season 1 has left with a huge mystery revealed about Omni Man being the supervillain. Season 1 finale ends with a duel between the father-son duo, which had the potential to yield extremely dangerous consequences. The first season of Invincible culminated with a violent fight between Mark Grayson and his deranged extraterrestrial father. This fight between the two most powerful beings almost cost the adolescent superhero “Invincible” his life.
The fight ends with Omni- Man almost killing his son, just when he recalls all the good memories and years he shared with him and the happiness his son brought him. This leads Omni-Man to take a step back and leave his son alive. After realizing he couldn’t hurt his son, Omni-Man flies away, leaving no information about where he left to. He most certainly is going to come back for season 2 and rage a strong fight.
We can also assume that there is a potential chance of a Viltrumite invasion which is cracking its way open to enter earth and destroy it now that the two most powerful superheroes aren’t in their way, and there is no one to stop them. Aside from this imminent threat, there are also other reasons to worry. The season one conclusion featured a montage of various enemies Mark would face in subsequent seasons. The enemies Mark might face range from frightening mind-controlling aliens to scary mafia leaders. Let us wait and watch how Mark Grayson, the “Invincible,” tackles the new incoming villains along with the existing ones.
