RCB will stay in the IPL 2022 for at least one more match. The team from Bangalore had one man to thank for it. Rajat Patidar scored an unbeaten 112 last night. His knock included a dozen fours and seven sixes.
It was RCB vs. LSG in the Eliminator. The match was delayed due to the rain. Eventually, it started half an hour later. However, boundaries continued to rain in the stands. The partnership between Patidar and DK proved vital in the match.
Eden Gardens served as the venue for the match. It was an Eliminator match. The team that loses goes home. At the same time, the winning team earns the chance to play in the final. Let us bring you the three main aspects of the game.
Rajat Patidar’s ton keeps RCB in IPL 2022

He scored an unbeaten 112 runs to ensure RCB stays in IPL 2022. Teammate DK played the perfect second fiddle. RCB eventually put up a target of 208 on the board.

LSG captain KL Rahul underfire
KL Rahul scored 79 runs off 58 balls in the match against RCB. However, the LSG captain has received plenty of stick. The fans and critics questioned his approach toward the run chase. His below-par strike rate is a concern for the India fans as well. However, the rest of the LSG batters did not contribute as needed. The captain had to deal with the pressure himself. Nevertheless, Rahul will look to work on his strike rate next season.
Catches win you matches proven correct
LSG had themselves to blame for the mammoth target on the board. The team dropped as many as four catches in the game last night. What’s more baffling is that three of those were of Patidar. Rahul himself dropped one as well. The captain later admitted that the poor fielding led to the loss. However, it was a wet field last night. Holding onto the ball was not an easy task. Nevertheless, LSG will look to bounce back in IPL 2023.
