The Flash is an American superhero series created by Greg Berlanti, Andrew Kreisberg, and Geoff Johns. The series follows Barry Allen, the DC incarnation of The Flash. The character appeared twice on the show Arrow and was instantly liked by the viewers. After the response the character gets only in the two appearances on the show, the executives decided to flesh out the complete character of Flash, charting him in more depth. Thus, The Flash series was born in lieu of its parent series Arrow. The character is based on the DC comics of the same name.

The Flash Season 8 Explained
The seventh season continues with the team Flash fighting against Eva’s evil forces. Iris remains trapped inside the mirror while the team Flash constructs a new speed force. Interesting! A repercussion of Eva’s attacks is seen when Caitlin and Frost interchange bodies. The anomaly called speed force created by the team Flash results in the creation of the Strength Force, the Sage Force, and the Still Force. Fuerza becomes the Strength Force’s avatar, Psych becomes the avatar of the Sage Force, and Deon Owen becomes the avatar of the Still Force.
Thawne is forced to restore to help fight Godspeed once he regains his memory. The season concludes with Godspeed being defeated, but Thawne vows to defeat Flash and become faster than him.
Critical response to The Flash
The first-ever episode of The Flash received a total of 4.8 million viewers. The show received positive reviews from critics and audiences, with the fans overjoyed upon seeing their favorite character get a separate series of its own. In 2016, the Flash was the 5th most-watched show behind Game of Thrones, The Walking Dead, Pretty Little Liars, and Westworld. The series premiered its eighth season on November 16, 2021, which will conclude on June 28, 2021.
The Flash Season 8 Recap
The season kick starts with the five-part event “Armageddon”. Flash has a new enemy in the form of Despero, who claims that the super speed Flash possesses the earth to destroy, as is seen by Despero in his timeline. He is here to stop Flash before he does that. Elsewhere, Thawne causes a Reverse-Flashpoint where he is Flash and Barry is reverse-flash.

This alternate timeline created by Thawne somehow proves fatal for Joe West, who dies. The Flash is able to stop and undo this Reverse-Flashpoint timeline with the help of Damien Darhk, and Joe survives. After this, the team deals with the birth of Deathstorm. Iris is sacrificed by the negative forces, due to which Thawne is revived in his time body. The season also witnessed a moment of celebration when The whole team went out to celebrate while Thawne was kept in custody.
