A sequel to the highly recognized movie Shazam! It is soon to hit the theatres this year. The film titled Black Adam will follow the story of a superhero of the same name. The superhero is based upon the DC comics in which Black Adam is a recurring character. The movie was scheduled to release in 2021 but got delayed to the Covid-19 pandemic. The character Black Adam was confirmed to play in the prequel Shazam! Itself but did not make it to the movie. A movie following the hero’s origins and the journey was thus announced. The 2019 super-hit movie Shazam! It is the prequel to Black Adam. The movie was an instant hit upon its release. Two further film sequels were announced, titled Black Adam and Shazam! Fury of the God. The movie follows a 14-year-old teen who suddenly grows superpowers. ( here we go again!) The teen must shout out, and he will be transformed into an adult superhero. Now, you might ask what a child would do after gaining such powers? He will have some fun, which is precisely what Billy does until the evil Dr. Thaddeus Sivana catches him.
Meet the cast of Black Adam
The titular character of Black Adam was cast in 2019 when its prequel was announced. The titular character will be played by Dwayne Johnson, also known as ‘The Rock”. The actor recently shared a snippet from the opening scene of the movie. The actor plays the antihero, Black Adam, to Shazam, who hails from Kahndaq. Adam was imprisoned for 5000 years before he is finally returning. The snippet shows Dwayne as Adam waking up from a tomb and returning to the modern world.

Aldis Hodge plays the character of Carter Hall / Hawkman. He is an incarnated archaeologist who was an Egyptian prince in his past life. Apart from him, the movie also stars the heartthrob of the very popular Netflix Rom com trilogy, To all the boys I have loved before, Noah Centineo. He will play Albert “Al” Rothstein / Atom Smasher and be a member of the Justice Society of America. It will be a new experience to watch the actor take on a role in a superhero movie.
Marwan Kenzari is cast in the character of Ishmael Gregor / Sabbac. Sabbac is a famous supervillain and an associate of Black Adam. Fans are especially eager to see him being adapted on the big screen. The makers revealed a sneak peek into his character on Twitter. Other cast members include:
