Kenny Chesney was born in Knoxville, Tennessee, on March 26, 1968. He grew up in Luttrell, Tennessee. His father is David Chesney, an elementary school teacher, and his mother is Karen Chandler, a hairstylist based in Knoxville. He has a younger sister, Jennifer Chandler. He is of English-Irish descent.
Kenny Chesney attended Gibbs High School and graduated in 1986. While in high school he was a part of the sports group and played baseball and football. Music was still a part of him.
