While some Hollywood romances are predictable from a mile away, others are completely unexpected. Tyga and Avril Lavigne’s relationship was unquestionably of the latter type.
Avril’s spokeswoman revealed that she broke up her nearly one-year engagement to her ex-fiance, Mod Sun, weeks before rumors of a relationship between the two celebrities started to circulate.
The “Rack City” MC and the pop-punk princess were first sighted together in February. Avril and the “Rack City” emcee were photographed kissing and holding hands at a Paris Fashion Week after-party, presumably confirming rumors of their new affair.
Rumors On Avril And Tyga’s Getting Back Together
Even though they were rumored to have split up in March, Avril Lavigne and Tyga still seem to be close friends. The two were seen together on Saturday at a club in Las Vegas.
At the Encore Beach Club inside Wynn Las Vegas, Avril performed with Marshmello. From the VIP part of the DJ booth, Tyga viewed Avril’s performance.
After she was done, Avril headed over to the booth, where the two could be seen grinning and laughing. Later that evening, Tyga took the stage by himself even though they didn’t perform together.
Relationship Status Of Tyga And Avril’s Life Of Each Other
Many people may be shocked by the couple’s alleged union, but real fans are aware of their common bond with Tyga and Kylie Jenner.
From roughly 2014 to 2017, Tyga and Kylie had an on-again, off-again relationship that resumed in October 2019. In fact, Avril used the reality star and entrepreneur as a model while dating Kylie’s older brother Brody Jenner from 2010 to 2012.

Following their collaboration on the song “Flames” in January 2021, Avril and Mod started dating in February of that same year. In March 2022, they subsequently got engaged. By February 2023, however, the engagement was over.
Mod Sun and Avril have been dating for the previous two months on and off, but they are no longer a pair. Avril and Mod “quietly ended things,” a source told Us Weekly in March, months before their breakup became widely known.

Although there were allegations of infidelity following Avril and Tyga’s appearance at Nobu, the insider claimed that Avril and Mod split up because their relationship “didn’t work out.” They learned more about one another and realized it wasn’t meant to be.
Avril And Tyga Reportedly Split
Following the official announcement of their relationship in February 2023, Avril Lavigne and Tyga’s relationship developed as follows.
Avril wore a $80,000 diamond chain necklace that Tyga purchased for her from jeweler Eric Mavani while she was on her European leg of the tour. In addition, Tyga, real name Michael Ray Stevenson, has been active and is reportedly working on new music.

Tyga and Avril Lavigne apparently no longer live together. ‘Rack City’ rapper Tyga, whose actual name is Micheal Ray Stevenson, and the 38-year-old pop star started dating in February 2023, but they broke up “a couple of weeks ago” after she got home from her ‘Love Sux’ tour.
Avril said in March that she had moved on with rapper Tyga following the breakup of her engagement to Mod Sun, whom she met while traveling to Paris in March 2022.
