An American reality TV show – ‘Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,’ broadcasts on Bravo and mainly emphasizes the lives of the women living in Beverly Hills, throwing a spotlight on their personal and professional spheres.
Lisa Vanderpump’s houseguest Cedric Martinez cherished much love and acceptance from the viewers and the fans. However, something in the show really threw him off and made his mental health deteriorate. We’ll get to it as you read on.

Cedric Martinez entered the show as a houseguest of Lisa and was much loved by her and everyone. He used to consider her as a mother figure, and things were smooth between the two of them.
But what they didn’t know was that it was all going to change for them pretty soon. He has often mentioned that Lisa was using him as a pawn at several points in the show.
All the buzz she created was around Cedric’s name, pulling him into hot topics unnecessarily. And it wasn’t just him with whom Lisa wasn’t behaving right. There have been instances where she was cold to Kyle Richards as well.

Owing to all this mess, their bond could not survive beyond season 1. After this season ended, Cedric decided to leave with his bag and baggage so as not to deal with any of it anymore. However, he made a special appearance towards the end of season 2 at the opening of SUR.
But this time also, he wasn’t spared by Lisa’s urge to make a mess out of any situation where he was present. And so it happened! He got into a fight with Lisa and her husband, Todd, creating a scene.
Impact on Cedric Martinez and his take on It
Highly perturbed by everything that took place, he was adamant about not staying a part of the show anymore. He left after the completion of season 1. Sources say that he left for Europe to seek peace. He also admitted getting his mental health unexpectedly affected by everything that happened with Lisa or because of her.
It was not just about his psychological state but also his special bonds with people that had to bear the consequences. His bonds with Lance Bass were also snapped when he was found cheating. Later on, Lisa even coaxed him to get back with Lance.
But the worst thing that happened was that Lisa ushered him, or rather compelled at times, to open up about his past and life as a young boy.
It unwrapped his history of being homeless and that he was raised by a prostitute. All of the things that happened on the show, or the ones he spoke about himself on Lisa’s persuasion, damaged his professional image beyond repair.
Cedric has said he wasn’t expecting such behavior from Lisa’s end that would disturb and disrupt their bonds. Had it not happened, we might have had him on the show in the following seasons as well. However, we wish him all the luck in his future endeavors.
