The 52-year-old Jada, according to a report in the New York Times on October 14, has left the house they had shared in Calabasas, California, and bought her own house as a 50th birthday present for herself in a suburban Los Angeles area. Following Jada’s recent admission that they had been living apart since 2016 on The Today Show, this information has come to light.
Will and Jada have been the subject of breakup rumors on numerous occasions in recent years. Jada discusses her personal life and struggles in her new memoir, “Worthy.” Jada notably admitted her involvement in an “entanglement” with August Alsina in a 2020 edition of their family’s online series, Red Table Talk, which Will later confirmed had taken place during a period of separation. It was a romance borne out of grief and brokenness, according to Jada.

According to The New York Times, Jada chose a lifestyle comparable to an “urban nun,” which included daily meditation and the study of writings such as the Bhagavad Gita, the Quran, and the Bible. This episode created controversy, prompting Jada to set out on a quest for “clarity and emotional sobriety.” She also avoids wasteful expenditures, sex, alcohol, violent entertainment, and drugs.
Will and Jada, who married in 1997 and have two kids, Jaden, 25, and Willow, 22, have worked hard to build the family they never had. Although Jada humorously admits their history of attempting to separate but eventually keeping connected, they view their marriage as the foundation of their family life.
They have been apart for seven years as of October 2023, including the six years before the 2022 Oscars, according to Jada. They are still working on their relationship, she said in an interview with People on October 11; she emphasized their intense love and the ongoing process of determining what it means for them.
