Vanessa Hudgens is quashing rumors of a pregnancy ahead of her impending wedding to her fiancé, Cole Tucker. In response to inquisitive fans on Instagram, she made it clear that she is not expecting a child. This speculation arose after she was spotted donning hoodies and loose-fitting attire during a bachelorette weekend celebration in Aspen, Colorado. Some followers had wondered if she might be pregnant, with one user commenting, “Why does she look pregnant to me or like she’s trying to hide a bump?” and another asking, “OMG, is she pregnant?”
While the 34-year-old “High School Musical” alum is not anticipating the arrival of a baby, she is eagerly anticipating a lifetime of happiness with her 27-year-old fiancé, whom she accepted a proposal from in December 2022. Hudgens, who shared a photo of her engagement ring on Instagram two months later, expressed her delight in an April interview with “Today.”

She expressed, “It’s an incredible feeling. It’s amusing because I was discussing this with Cole. People always ask, ‘Does it feel different? Do things change when you get engaged?’ That used to be my question, but now I get to answer it.” She continued, “And you know what? It truly does feel different. There’s a reassuring sense of security. You feel so protected. It’s the most wonderful thing. I absolutely adore being engaged.”
Prior to her engagement with Tucker, Austin Butler, who played Elvis in the movie, and Hudgens were notable long-term partners. Their union lasted almost ten years, from January 2011 to January 2020. Although dating rumors about Hudgens and Tucker began in November 2020, their relationship didn’t become widely known until February 2021 on Instagram.
The former Disney Channel star stated her wish to meet a companion who shared similar beliefs, regardless of their level of celebrity, after her split from Butler. She said, “I’m not overly selective, to be honest. I know what I’m looking for, and if someone comes into my life with those qualities, that’s fantastic. Their public profile doesn’t play a significant role for me. If anything, I’d prefer them not to be in the public eye, but time will tell.”
Tucker seemed to be the ideal partner for Hudgens, who he described as “cool” and “amazing” in a news conference with media at an MLB training camp in February 2021. He said, “I have a girlfriend, and she’s wonderful. I love her. But I don’t want it to be all about ‘Cole is dating Vanessa…’ I want it to be treated just like how Mitch [Keller] has his wife around or Ke’Bryan [Hayes] has his girlfriend visiting. She’s fantastic, and she’s a part of our lives. You’ll see her, but as you’ve read in the headlines, it’s just the way it is.”
