Keke Palmer has initiated legal proceedings to secure complete custody of her 8-month-old son, Leodis Andrellton Jackson, following the filing of a temporary restraining order against her ex-boyfriend, Darius Jackson. The actress and producer submitted the order in the Los Angeles Superior Court, alleging multiple instances of domestic violence.
In the court documents obtained by The Hollywood Reporter, Palmer outlines incidents of abusive behavior by Jackson, with the most recent occurrence dated November 5. According to Palmer, Jackson unlawfully entered her residence, threatened her, and physically assaulted her, including actions like lunging for her neck, throwing her over a couch, and confiscating her phone. The filing includes security camera stills capturing the alleged attack.
Describing a specific incident on November 5, Palmer recounts that Jackson forcibly entered her bedroom while she was on a call with her mother. He began filming her and demanded to see their son, Leo, who was not present at home. Despite Palmer’s requests for him to leave, Jackson persisted, even resorting to physical aggression when she attempted to escort him out. Palmer claims that he assaulted her, took her phone, and fled the premises.
The court documents also detail a previous alleged assault on February 13, 2022, where Palmer asserts that Jackson body-slammed her onto stairs. Palmer claims to have experienced multiple instances of physical violence, including being hit in front of their son and grabbed by the neck.
Palmer further accuses Jackson of destructive and threatening behavior, such as destroying personal property, throwing belongings into the street, and making threats of self-harm. The court granted Palmer full custody of their son, along with a restraining order prohibiting contact, stay-away orders, and a firearms compliance hearing related to a handgun owned by Jackson. A hearing is scheduled for December 5. The legal action follows the end of their relationship in October, and the filing comes after Jackson faced online criticism for negative remarks about Palmer in response to a video of her dancing with Usher.
