Joey Fatone is openly celebrating his recent weight loss procedure, sharing details about the removal of excess fat from various areas, including his chin and stomach. The NSYNC singer, breaking the silence surrounding such procedures for men, emphasized the need to destigmatize it.
In an interview with People, Fatone expressed, “It’s surprising how many guys undergo such procedures. Many keep it hush-hush due to shyness or embarrassment, but there’s no need for shame! I’m always open about these things. Who cares?”
A representative for Fatone confirmed to Fox News Digital that he underwent an AirSculpt procedure last month. Reflecting on the results, he shared with the outlet, “I’m starting to see the changes. My stomach had a noticeable bulge, and now it’s gone. Same with my back. It’s unexpected because it’s something I never thought I’d do, but there’s stubborn fat that lingers despite weight loss or dieting.”
Fatone clarified his motivation, stating, “I just want to enhance how I look in clothes. That’s my personal goal. Despite industry pressures to conform to certain standards, I won’t drastically transform. Unless Marvel calls me for a movie,” he humorously added.
Addressing comments about his weight and appearance in the industry, the “My Big Fat Greek Wedding” actor asserted, “I’ve been told I need to lose weight, but I’ll find a way to secure those jobs. There’s room for everyone in every field. Aging is inevitable; we all age in some way!”
Fatone also revealed his decision to undergo hair plugs two years ago. “Things were a bit thin up there, and being on television, I had to use a spray to fill in my hair. It became a hassle. So, I opted for plugs to fix it,” he shared.
Despite recently reuniting with his boy band members at the MTV Video Music Awards, Fatone emphasized, “I’m not attempting to alter who I am. I’m just refining it a bit!”
