Jana Kramer has expanded her family, officially becoming a mother of three! The host of the Whine Down podcast and the acclaimed author of the national best-seller, “The Next Chapter: Making Peace with Hard Memories, Finding Hope All Around Me, and Clearing Space for Good Things to Come” celebrated the arrival of her first child with fiancé Allan Russell. A representative for the couple confirmed to PEOPLE that the couple welcomed their son, Roman James Russell, on November 13. Roman entered the world weighing 6 lbs., 1 oz.
Expressing their joy and gratitude, Kramer and Russell shared their excitement about the birth of Roman James Russell, emphasizing how blessed they feel to have created something so special together. The couple revealed that the name Roman was chosen simply because they both loved its strength, while James, his middle name, pays tribute to both of their grandfathers.
Already a mother to 4-year-old son Jace and 7-year-old daughter Jolie with ex-husband Mike Caussin, Kramer embraced the arrival of her newest family member with reflection. In a social media post at the beginning of the month, she marveled at the swift arrival of November, acknowledging the imminent change in her family dynamics.
Initially expecting the baby on December 2, Kramer shared that she opted for an earlier C-section due to a growing fibroid. Last month, she commemorated the impending addition to her family with an intimate celebration among friends, featuring photos on Instagram. The snapshots captured Kramer surrounded by supportive friends, including Julie (Johnathon Schaech’s wife), Kristen (Preston Brust’s wife), and Sara (Lee Brice’s wife). The outdoor venue, a cheese platter, and a cozy campfire added to the warmth of the occasion.
Expressing her gratitude, Kramer emphasized the simplicity and perfection of the gathering, thanking her friends for the cozy and intimate celebration. She described the evening, filled with sunset views, fireplace laughter, prayers for the new baby, and a cozy sleepover as nothing short of perfection. In her words, the little guy is fortunate to have such wonderful aunties, and she feels eternally blessed for their love and support.
