Mark Wahlberg prioritizes “me time,” a philosophy that prompts the Uncharted actor to kickstart his day well before dawn. Sharing his routine exclusively with E! News correspondent Keltie Night at McClaren’s F1 Vegas VISTA Experience, Mark emphasized the importance of his eight hours of sleep, revealing his recent habit of waking up at 3:30 AM. This early start allows him to engage in personal activities such as working out and prayer, steering clear of the midday rush.
While Mark is known for his disciplined daytime schedule, the underlying motivation is quality time with his wife, Rhea Durham, and their four children—Ella, 20; Michael, 17; Brendan, 15, and Grace, 13. Mark strives to complete his personal routine before his kids wake up, setting the tone for family-focused mornings.
The actor also shared that their evenings wrap up early, with dinner and TV time starting at 7:30 PM. However, Mark admitted that he occasionally allows himself to sleep in a bit, reserving Wednesdays and Saturdays as days off from his rigid routine.
Despite Mark’s commitment to discipline, he acknowledged that his daughter Grace surpasses him in this regard. Grace, an aspiring equestrian, embodies a level of discipline Mark didn’t adopt until his 30s. He marveled at her dedication to becoming an Olympian, highlighting her admirable work ethic.
Mark’s two boys, Michael and Brendan, also follow distinctive paths. Michael is deeply immersed in MMA, jiu-jitsu, and muay thai, while Brendan, asserting his ambition to outshine his father as an actor, is encouraged by Mark to start early. However, Brendan’s current passion lies in video games, diverging from Mark’s aspirations.
In sharing the diverse pursuits of his children, Mark Wahlberg provides a glimpse into his family life, showcasing a balance between personal discipline and supporting his kids’ unique interests and ambitions.
