In line with his 2024 presidential campaign efforts, President Joe Biden is set to visit Florida on Tuesday, where Donald Trump currently resides. Both Biden and Trump, the leading candidate in the GOP presidential primary, continue their nationwide campaign activities ahead of the upcoming presidential election.
Last week, Biden secured victory in New Hampshire, defeating Representative Dean Phillips and author Marianne Williamson in the state’s write-in campaign initiated by his supporters. This move followed a disagreement over New Hampshire’s primary schedule, leading Biden to skip appearing on the ballot. Meanwhile, Trump emerged victorious in the New Hampshire primary with 54.5 percent of the vote, surpassing Republican opponent Nikki Haley.
Having previously won the Republican Iowa caucus with 51 percent support, Trump remains a formidable contender. According to a White House press release, Biden is scheduled for a campaign “reception” in Palm Beach, followed by another campaign event in Miami on Tuesday.

Nikki Haley, the former South Carolina governor and Trump’s rival is also heading to Florida for a fundraising event in Palm Beach this week. The campaign managers for both Haley and Trump will participate in events organized by The American Opportunity Alliance, a Republican donor group, in Palm Beach.
Trump, who secured victories in Florida in both the 2016 and 2020 elections, is buoyed by the endorsement of Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, who recently withdrew from the 2024 race, consolidating Republican support behind the former president. Despite Palm Beach County having a majority of Democrat-registered voters, the recent endorsement suggests a potential unification of the Republican base.
Real Clear Polling’s analysis indicates that Trump holds a 4.3 percent lead over Biden in a hypothetical presidential election matchup, garnering 47.3 percent of the vote compared to Biden’s 43 percent.
Biden’s Florida visit follows his appearance at a Baptist church’s banquet hall in South Carolina, where he addressed the recent drone strike incident in Jordan that claimed the lives of three U.S. military personnel. Biden expressed condolences and vowed to hold those responsible accountable. In response, Trump criticized Biden on his Truth Social platform, attributing the attack to Biden’s perceived weakness.
Iran, accused by the U.S. of involvement in the attack, denied the allegations through its foreign ministry spokesperson, Nasser Kanaani, calling them “baseless” and asserting that Iran was not involved in the decision-making of allied groups known as the “Axis of Resistance.”
