In a stern warning to GOP presidential candidate Nikki Haley, Democratic National Committee (DNC) Chair Jaime Harrison conveyed a clear message during an event in Columbia, S.C.
He emphasized that Haley should not anticipate any assistance from South Carolina Democrats, dispelling any notions of them coming to her aid in the Palmetto State primary.
Harrison took the opportunity to scrutinize Haley’s record as the former governor of South Carolina, particularly focusing on healthcare issues.

He pointed out that Haley, during her tenure, allowed a local hospital in her hometown to close, a decision that directly impacted her parents. Harrison also criticized her for obstructing healthcare access to around 250,000 people and signing one of the most restrictive abortion bans in the country.
Known for his earlier characterization of Haley as a “MAGA minion” in October, Harrison continued to associate her with the “Make America Great Again” movement led by former President Trump.
He conveyed a resolute message to Haley, asserting that South Carolina Democrats wouldn’t support her due to her perceived lack of contribution to their interests.
Addressing Haley directly, Harrison stated, “My message to Nikki from, you know, bless her heart from the very start, is that we’re not gonna vote for you because you didn’t do anything for us.”
He reinforced the Democratic stance of not bailing out either of the remaining candidates aligned with the MAGA movement.
Haley, currently the sole major candidate opposing Trump, faces a formidable challenge in her home state, with the primary just three weeks away.
Recent polls, as aggregated by The Hill/Decision Desk HQ, indicate that she is trailing by over 30 points. Despite this significant gap, her supporters in the state highlight some more recent polls suggesting a narrowing of Trump’s lead.
