St. Tammany Parish Resident Pleads Guilty to Violating Federal Controlled Substances Act in Eastern District of Louisiana

U.S. Attorney Duane A. Evans announced that ALSKIIN MILLICAN, 21, of Madisonville, Louisiana, pleaded guilty on February 29, 2024, to violating the Federal Controlled Substances Act before United States District Judge Susie Morgan.

MILLICAN pleaded guilty to Count 1 of the indictment, which charged him with conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute 40 grams or more of a mixture and substance containing a detectable amount of Fentanyl, a Schedule II controlled substance, in violation of Title 21, United States Code, Sections 841(a)(1), 841(b)(1)(B), and 846.

He also pleaded guilty to Count 4 of the indictment, which charged him with distributing and possessing with the intent to distribute 40 grams or more of a mixture and substance containing a detectable amount of Fentanyl, a Schedule II controlled substance, in violation of Title 21, United States Code, Sections 841(a)(1) and 841(b)(1)(B). According to court documents, MILLICAN sold 1000 fentanyl pills to an undercover agent on September 15, 2023.

For Counts 1 and 4, MILLICAN faces a minimum sentence of 5 years and up to 40 years imprisonment, a fine of up to $5,000,000, at least 4 years of supervised release, and a mandatory special assessment fee of $100.00. MILLICAN’s sentencing is set for June 4, 2024.

Homeland Security Investigations and the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Department investigated the case. Assistant United States Attorney Lauren Sarver of the Narcotics Unit oversees the prosecution.
