Vice President Kamala Harris is scheduled to land in Madison on Wednesday at the Dane County Regional Airport, with an estimated arrival time of around 11:15 a.m. During her visit to the future site of the Madison Metro Transit Facility, she will be accompanied by Acting Secretary of Labor Julie Su.
The groundbreaking ceremony for the Madison Metro Transit Facility took place in mid-February, marking the commencement of a significant project aimed at expanding Metro services in the area. City leaders anticipate that this project will be a focal point of the Vice President’s tour.
This visit to Wisconsin comes two months after Harris’s last appearance in the state, when she spoke in Waukesha about the Biden administration’s efforts to restore reproductive freedoms.
However, this time, the focus will shift as Harris and Su address topics related to workers’ rights, the importance of good-paying union jobs, and the expansion of apprenticeship programs.
The Vice President and Acting Secretary Su are scheduled to speak at approximately 12:05 p.m., discussing these key issues and more. Additionally, Harris has another campaign event planned in Madison later in the day.
Following her engagements in Madison, Kamala Harris is expected to depart from the Dane County Regional Airport at around 4 p.m.
