Former President Donald Trump took to Truth Social to address a video montage of his gaffes that aired during a congressional hearing, suggesting that it was manipulated by artificial intelligence (AI).
The montage, featuring clips from various news outlets, was presented in response to special counsel Robert Hur’s suggestion in his report that President Joe Biden had memory loss problems.
Trump’s post on Truth Social, which came around 10:20 p.m., referred to the Hur Report and characterized it as a disaster for Biden, highlighting what he perceived as a two-tiered standard of justice. He claimed that AI was used against him in the videos, implying that similar manipulation could not be applied to Biden.
However, Trump’s assertion overlooks his well-documented history of verbal stumbles, slurs, and blunders, which have been widely reported over the years. Given this history, there would be little need to resort to AI to create such moments.
Trump’s comments were prompted by a House Judiciary Committee hearing where former special counsel Robert Hur discussed his claims about Biden’s memory, alleging that it was significantly limited.
This exchange underscores the ongoing political debate surrounding Biden’s cognitive abilities and raises questions about the use of media and technology in shaping public perception.
