Prince William and Prince Harry both honored their late mother at the Diana Legacy Awards in London, carefully sidestepping any potential clashes amidst rumored tensions between them.
The event, held at the Science Museum in London, marked the charity’s 25th anniversary, recognizing the achievements of young people.
Prince William attended in person, while his brother, Harry, addressed the audience via a live video link, ensuring they didn’t cross paths during the evening.
In a video message concluding the ceremony, Harry expressed gratitude, saying, “Thank you very much for inspiring so many others and at the same time protecting my mother’s legacy, I appreciate that. And Tessy (Ojo, chief executive of the Diana Award), well done on this fantastic group of individuals.”

The separate appearances come amidst ongoing rumors of a significant rift within the royal family, particularly between the once-close brothers.
Reports suggest that Harry did not meet with William during his brief visit to their father after announcing The King’s cancer diagnosis and subsequent treatment.
During an American news channel interview, Harry hinted that King Charles’s illness could potentially “reunify” the family, noting that “any illness brings families together.”
Prince William also paid tribute to his mother and celebrated the award winners. He emphasized the significance of the Legacy Award, stating, “This evening’s Legacy Award is particularly special as it marks the 25th anniversary year of The Diana Award, a charity set up to reflect my mother’s belief that young people can change the world.”

He affirmed, “That legacy is something that both Catherine and I have sought to focus on through our work.” He expressed pride in seeing his mother’s belief manifested in the inspiring young people receiving the Legacy Award.
William also commended the winners, expressing being “blown away” by their impactful work. Notable awardees included Chiara Riyanti Hutapea Zhang, 18, recognized for her charity Cases 4 Care’s efforts with undocumented children, and Joel Nkeonye Mordi, 26, honored for founding an LGBT+ youth charity in Nigeria.
