Saifeddin Issam Ayad Abutaha, aged 25, served as a driver and translator for World Central Kitchen since the beginning of the year. Described by his brothers as a dedicated young man, Saifeddin was deeply committed to assisting fellow Palestinians. His entrepreneurial endeavors had garnered him recognition on the Israeli side, facilitating coordination for aid efforts. Tragically, Saifeddin’s aspirations for marriage and his commitment to aiding Gaza’s inhabitants were cut short by the airstrikes.

The three British victims, John Chapman, James Henderson, and James Kirby, were military veterans who tragically met their demise while providing security for the aid mission. Kirby, aged 47, was described as an exemplary individual by his cousin, while Chapman, aged 57, was hailed as an incredible father, husband, son, and brother. Henderson, aged 33, was a former Royal Marine who had dedicated himself to aiding others.
Jacob Flickinger, a 33-year-old dual citizen of the United States and Canada, was identified as the team lead. His death prompted Canadian Foreign Minister Mélanie Joly to call for a thorough investigation, emphasizing the absolute unacceptability of strikes on humanitarian personnel.
