SpaceX, under Musk’s leadership, has evolved into a profitable company, operating as both a space transportation provider with Falcon rockets and a telecommunications enterprise through Starlink satellites. The next phase of SpaceX’s mission involves testing the Starship.
The upcoming test flights aim to achieve important milestones, such as soft-landing the Super Heavy first stage in the Gulf of Mexico to simulate landings on Earth. Musk plans to utilize innovative methods, including catching the Super Heavy midair with “Mechazilla” arms, to recover and reuse the launch vehicle.
SpaceX intends to enhance its launch capabilities by constructing additional launch towers equipped with Mechazilla arms. The Starship itself will undergo advancements to increase its payload capacity, enabling missions to low Earth orbit, the moon, and Mars.

For lunar missions, SpaceX envisions using the Human Landing System version of the Starship, which can be refueled in low Earth orbit for future missions.
