RG Carter stands out as the sole contractor featured across all three lots of Norfolk County Council’s new major construction works framework. This framework, succeeding the previous one which expired in September 2023, spans an initial three years with a potential 12-month extension. Divided into three lots based on project size and complexity, it aims to streamline construction processes and optimize project management.
Lot 1, catering to medium-sized projects with values ranging from £500,000 to £4.5m, encompasses a variety of construction endeavors, including refurbishments, extensions, demolitions, and new builds. Valued at £50m in total, Lot 1 sees the participation of seven contractors, with RG Carter among them, alongside other notable entities such as Barnes Group and SEH French.
Moving to Lot 2, designated for larger and more intricate projects exceeding £4.5m in value, the framework anticipates a cumulative project worth £300m. Among the five contractors selected for this lot, RG Carter maintains its presence alongside established firms like Morgan Sindall Construction & Infrastructure and Kier Construction.
Lot 3 caters specifically to small to medium-sized new build projects employing modern construction methods, with a maximum value of £2.5m. This lot emphasizes design and building procurement processes. RG Carter’s inclusion in Lot 3 further underscores its versatility and capability across varying project scales and methodologies, alongside Qube Structures and Munnings Construction.
RG Carter’s consistent presence across all three lots highlights its prominence and reliability within Norfolk County Council’s construction framework. By strategically positioning itself across different project scopes and sizes, RG Carter solidifies its role as a key contributor to the region’s construction landscape, ensuring diverse expertise and resources are available to meet the council’s infrastructure needs.
