HRC Launches $15 Million Campaign to Boost LGBTQ Voter Support for Biden in 2024 Election

Biden Gets $15 Million Boost from Nation's Largest LGBTQ Organization in Swing States

In a move to impact the 2024 presidential election, the Human Rights Campaign (HRC), the largest LGBTQ rights organization in the US, is launching a $15 million initiative to support Democratic President Joe Biden’s re-election bid against Republican Donald Trump.

The campaign will focus on six crucial battleground states – Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin, Georgia, Arizona, and Nevada – with a comprehensive approach including paid ads, staff hires, field campaigns, and events.

HRC’s efforts are driven by concerns about soft support for Biden among “equality voters” – an estimated 75 million Americans who prioritize LGBTQ rights when casting their ballots.

HRC Invests $15 Million to Mobilize LGBTQ Voters in Swing States for Biden’s Re-Election

While Biden has advanced LGBTQ causes during his presidency, Trump has vowed to roll back progress and emboldened a conservative backlash against the community.

HRC President Kelley Robinson emphasized the high stakes, stating, “This moment feels so important, not just for this election, but really what it means for the future of our community.”

The organization’s data reveals that one-third of “equality voters” are uncertain about supporting Biden, with hundreds of thousands at risk of not voting or defecting to third-party candidates.

Robinson urged engaging with these voters, particularly young and nonwhite Americans, to ensure they have the tools to participate in the electoral process. HRC’s campaign aims to mobilize the LGBTQ community and allies, convinced that every vote counts in this critical election.
