Three years after the tragic accident that claimed the lives of Genius ‘Ginimbi’ Kadungure, Moana, and two others, Ginimbi’s mansion has once again become the center of attention. The flamboyant socialite and businessman, who was known for his opulent lifestyle, is still making headlines due to a legal dispute involving his estate.

The latest development is that Ginimbi’s sister and heir, Nelia Kadungure, has been summoned to the Chief’s Court over unpaid land fees related to the property where Ginimbi’s mansion is situated.

The controversy centers around the land on which Ginimbi built his luxurious home. Reports indicate that although Ginimbi purchased the land for $13,000, he had not completed the payment by the time of his death on November 8, 2020.

The land’s original owners claim that Ginimbi only paid $4,000 of the total amount. This shortfall has led to a legal claim against Nelia Kadungure, who is now facing pressure to settle the outstanding payment.

Daidarai Nhau, the daughter of the land’s seller, Shanda Kibiti Matope, has testified that she witnessed the transaction when it was completed with her father. Nhau has informed Chief Chinhamora that Nelia Kadungure has been unresponsive to requests for the remaining payment. Matope, now in poor health, has been unable to follow up on the matter, further complicating the situation.

Nelia Kadungure missed her court appearance due to health issues, causing the case to be postponed. The landowners have claimed that they have lost the documentary evidence of the transaction, although they maintain that village head Sabhuku Kadyausavi was a witness to the original deal. This absence of documentation has added another layer of complexity to the case.

Tthe legal battle over the unpaid land fees has cast a shadow over Ginimbi’s legacy. The dispute between Nelia Kadungure and the land’s original owners continues, with the Chief’s Court session being one of the latest developments in this ongoing saga. As the situation unfolds, the public remains closely following the case, which highlights the unresolved issues surrounding Ginimbi’s estate.
