As the 2024 US presidential election approaches, Vice President Kamala Harris is showing stronger performance than Republican candidate Donald Trump in several critical battleground states. Recent swing state polls conducted by the New York Times/Siena reveal Harris leading Trump in both Arizona and North Carolina.
However, Trump currently holds an edge over Harris in Georgia and Nevada. Earlier this month, Harris also outperformed Trump in the Rust Belt states. Despite this, before Joe Biden’s withdrawal from the presidential race, Trump had a 3% lead over Biden in Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania.

To win the presidency, Trump and Harris must secure at least one of the four Sun Belt States along with three Rust Belt states. At present, the survey indicates that both candidates are tied at 48%. Polls from Saturday highlight a positive shift for Democrats compared to May’s survey, which showed Trump leading Biden in Arizona, Georgia, and Nevada.
During a rally in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, Trump expressed his belief that Harris would be a more straightforward opponent than Biden, despite some polls showing Harris slightly ahead in the November 5 presidential race. He characterized Harris as “radical” and a “lunatic,” underscoring his view that defeating her would be easier.
