Stephen Curry and Lin-Manuel Miranda are set to lead a virtual volunteer rally next week for When We All Vote, the nonpartisan organization founded by Michelle Obama to promote voter registration. The event, dubbed Countdown to the Polls, will be held online on Tuesday from 8 to 9 p.m. EDT. It will serve as a crucial training session aimed at enhancing voter registration efforts in anticipation of National Voter Registration Day on September 17.
The rally will feature Curry, an NBA star with the Golden State Warriors; Miranda, the creator of the acclaimed musical “Hamilton”; and comedian Loni Love, who is an ambassador for the initiative. Both Curry and Miranda are co-chairs of When We All Vote, and their involvement aims to galvanize volunteers and encourage voters to set up a Voting Squad. This portal allows users to share a personalized registration link with their network and track the number of registrations made through it.

Launched in 2018, When We All Vote seeks to boost voter participation nationwide. In the 2020 election cycle, the organization reached over 100 million people to inform them about voting procedures and facilitate their registration.
Miranda has been increasingly active in political spheres, joining a coalition of Broadway artists called Broadway for Harris, which supports Vice President Harris’s campaign through phone banking, social media, canvassing, and fundraising. His involvement follows his support for President Biden in 2020 and 2024.
Curry, while not dismissing a future political career entirely, has expressed a general interest in using his influence for positive change. He has previously indicated that he could consider a political role if it aligns with his desire to effect meaningful change, although he remains cautious about pursuing the presidency.
