Just when you thought celebrity heartbreak couldn’t get any more intense, a beloved Love Island: UK couple has shocked fans with their split. On Wednesday, “Page Six” revealed that Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury, season five’s standout contestants from 2019, announced their breakup via matching Instagram stories.
Known for their strong relationship and as one of the few couples to thrive outside the show, both Hague and Fury expressed their surprise at having to make such an announcement. Hague admitted she never imagined she’d be sharing this news online.
In her post, Hague shared, “After five years together, I never thought our story would end, especially not like this.” She also emphasized her deep sadness and commitment to their 1-year-old daughter, Bambi, saying, “I will forever be grateful for my beautiful daughter. She will always be my priority.”
Fury, a professional boxer and sibling to Tyson Fury, also conveyed his heartbreak and affirmed that Bambi remains their top priority. Speculation about infidelity quickly surfaced among fans, partly due to Hague’s recent absence of her six-carat engagement ring in her posts.
She had just shared footage of Fury’s proposal three weeks ago, marking their engagement’s first anniversary. While Hague has requested privacy as she steer the repercussions, she assured followers that she’ll return when the time feels right.
