Ahead of the Chiefs’ new season opener on September 5, Travis Kelce, 34, joined fellow teammates Patrick Mahomes, Harrison Butker, Nick Bolton, Justin Reid, and Chris Jones for a panel discussion hosted by play-by-play announcer Mitch Holthus in Kansas City.
During the panel, Kelce expressed his affection for Holthus, saying, “We love you,” on behalf of his teammates. When Holthus playfully asked if Kelce loved him more than Taylor Swift, the NFL star paused and responded with a chuckle, “Maybe not,” which elicited laughter from the audience.
Kelce’s light-hearted reply was well-received by fans, who took to social media to share their appreciation. One user on X (formerly Twitter) commented, “Genuinely makes me so happy every time he talks about her,” while another joked that Kelce “has his priorities straight.”
This appearance follows the release of the first episode of the third season of Kelce’s podcast with his brother, Jason Kelce. During the episode, Travis praised Swift while chatting with actor Adam Sandler. Sandler, 57, complimented Swift, saying, “What a girl. What a girl,” to which Travis enthusiastically agreed, calling her the “best performer out here.” Sandler also mentioned that his family was excited about the couple, adding, “Anytime Taylor’s laughing with you, my whole f—ing family is like high-fiving.”
Travis appreciated Sandler’s support, admitting, “You got me sweating over here.” The Chiefs are set to begin their NFL season against the Baltimore Ravens on September 5.
