Sylvia Elsrode from The Challenge has tied the knot! On Saturday, September 21, the reality TV star and real estate agent exchanged vows with her long-term partner, Sergio Lira.
The 35-year-old bride shared moments from her wedding day on her Instagram Stories, including a heartwarming clip of her and Lira sharing their first dance dressed in formal attire and matching cowboy hats. Sylvia wore a stunning white mermaid gown with balloon sleeves, while Sergio opted for a classic tuxedo.
In another fun video, her The Challenge costar Shane Landrum captured Sylvia dancing on a chair at the reception, donning a white halter dress. Surrounded by her bridesmaids, who wore gowns in various shades of purple and cream, the celebration was lively.

A candid photo of Sylvia in her gown and long lace veil was also posted, with her captioning the moment, “My heart was beating out of my chest.” The day before her wedding, Elsrode shared a carousel of photos with friends in front of a restaurant booth on Instagram, expressing her excitement with the caption, “Surrounded by the best. Truly grateful to have you ladies by my side. 1 more day.”
The Knot reported that the ceremony took place in the evening at The Legacy at Green Hills in Kansas City, Missouri. Sylvia had both a maid of honor and a matron of honor, alongside six bridesmaids, while Sergio was supported by a best man and seven groomsmen.
According to the wedding website, the couple first met in 2015 when Sylvia worked as a bartender. She recounted how Sergio “made it a point to visit me at the bar” multiple times after their initial meeting. “Each time my heart would skip a beat, loving every moment we spent together. After several weekends of playful flirting, I finally gave him my number,” she shared.
Their relationship had its challenges, but they felt the “timing was finally right” in 2018. They are now proud parents of two sons, having welcomed their second child in February.
In an emotional Instagram post, she announced their new arrival, saying, “We’re a little late to the party. Mommy had to have an unexpected extended stay at the hospital, but world 🌎 we’d like to introduce: Enzo Nico Lira. Our hearts couldn’t be fuller; our family is complete. Officially a family of 4 🩵.”
Sylvia shared her engagement to Lira on Instagram in March 2023 with a now-deleted post that read, “I get to marry my best friend! #FutureMrsLira 💍.”
Since then, she has provided glimpses of her wedding preparations on social media and even celebrated the milestone of being “officially 365 days out” from her wedding in a September 2023 post.
Earlier this summer, Sylvia expressed gratitude to her friends for planning an “INCREDIBLE weekend” for her as she approached her wedding day, stating, “So thankful for these women” in her caption.
