The divorce between Lauryn “Pumpkin” Efird and her former spouse, Josh Efird, has been finalized, and both are now officially single, as reported by In Touch.
Court documents reviewed by In Touch reveal that a Georgia judge approved the divorce for Pumpkin, 24, and Josh, 28, on September 23. The couple, who tied the knot on June 17, 2017, have been separated since July, remaining in a legitimate state of separation ever since.
Together, they share four children: Ella, born in 2017; Bentley, born in 2021; and twins Sylus and Stella, born in 2022. They have agreed to maintain joint legal and physical custody of their kids, with no provisions for child or spousal support. According to their agreement, Lauryn will have the final say regarding educational and medical decisions.
The custody plan allows both parents to take their children to places of worship of their choice during their parenting time and grants them the right to enroll the children in extracurricular activities. The court order stated, “Due to the joint physical custody arrangement and the parenting time of each party, there shall be no award of child support at this time.”
Medical expenses not covered by insurance will be shared equally between the exes. Additionally, they agreed to split costs related to extracurricular activities and necessary school expenses. All custody exchanges will occur at Lauryn’s residence as part of their arrangement.
In 2024, several celebrity couples have separated, including Rachel Zoe and Rodger Berman. Before Lauryn filed for divorce on August 1, the couple had already reached agreements on most issues. The terms included Josh’s commitment to remove his name from the lease of their shared Georgia home.
Lauryn has agreed to handle all bills associated with the property, while both parties will retain ownership of their vehicles and bank accounts. They will also continue to manage their children’s bank accounts together.
Recently, Lauryn has introduced a new boyfriend on social media. In related family news, Lauryn’s mother, June “Mama June” Shannon, recently achieved a victory in her custody battle for her late daughter Anna “Chickadee” Cardwell’s 12-year-old daughter, Kaitlyn. A Georgia judge awarded Mama June custody, despite Anna’s ex-husband, Michael Cardwell, seeking primary custody.
Michael, who is the father of Kylee but not Kaitlyn, argued in court that the two girls should not be separated following Anna’s passing. Mama June opposed his request, asserting that Michael’s relationship with Anna was troubled and that he had been abusive towards her.
Michael’s attorney, Donald Lewis Roberts, stated, “Michael denies these allegations. This is the first time that any of these allegations have been made against him.
He and Anna had a great relationship when they were married and simply separated due to differences in opinions and personalities.” Earlier this month, the judge ruled in favor of Mama June, rejecting Michael’s petition.
