Sai De Silva’s husband, David Craig, leads a life that often remains out of the public eye. The style blogger, now a cast member of Real Housewives of New York City, first crossed paths with Craig in 2009.
Together, they share two children—a daughter named London and a son named Rio—and tied the knot in 2017. Although De Silva has a career in the spotlight, Craig takes on the role of managing their household while consciously avoiding fame.

In her blog, Scout The City, she expressed, “We live in a world filled with over-sharing and documenting our every move, and I think it’s healthy to keep some things private. No, he’s not a celebrity or a famous athlete, like some of you have asked.”
She further emphasized, “He’s my perfect guy who loves his privacy, and I respect that. He’s supportive, encouraging, and always by our side. Their initial encounter took place in Costa Rica, where they met during a girls’ trip. De Silva recounted that she encountered Craig on her last day, following “10 days straight” filled with surfing, partying, and dining.
“I met him at a swim-up bar of a private resort that I randomly found during our stay. He was there on a work trip, and I had the world’s worst attitude. I can’t lie; I was a little hungover from the night before and suffered from a lack of personality due to my self-inflicted sickness,” De Silva shared in a blog post.
Despite feeling under the weather, Craig managed to catch her attention. “A few minutes passed before he insulted me, which actually made me laugh and gained my attention. I admired the fact that he was funny since I love to laugh. The more we chatted, the more I realized that we had a lot in common.”
Following their meeting in Costa Rica, the Bravo star explained that their relationship began immediately, albeit long-distance. Craig hails from Canada and made the journey to New York City for their first official date.
“I remember feeling ill and wanting to cancel, but he showed up with a handful of my favorite flowers and a care package filled to the brim with items to help nurse me back to health,” she reminisced. “He courted me in every way, and his surprises for our first date exceeded my expectations.”
However, Craig’s affectionate gestures made her wary. De Silva admitted she felt cautious of him because he was “the sweetest person I ever dated,” leading her to wonder if “something was wrong with him.” Still, she chose to embrace the relationship and see where it would lead.
“He was so different from what I was used to that I didn’t know how to react,” the TV personality disclosed. “I put my self-sabotaging ways aside and gave him a chance because I deserved to be courted and adored, as we all do.” In 2017, after several years of long-distance dating, De Silva and Craig tied the knot, shortly after welcoming their second child, Rio.
Now married for over six years, De Silva shared her simple advice for a successful marriage: “Have sex,” she told PEOPLE during the season 14 premiere of RHONY. As parents, De Silva and Craig celebrated the arrival of their daughter, London Scout, on September 6, 2011.
“After dating for a few years and 700 flights later, I found out I was pregnant. The look of disbelief on my face when I read the pee stick was unexplainable,” she wrote on Scout the City. “This was not planned, and considering I had a long-distance relationship, it wasn’t ideal. Fast forward a few years, and we made it work.”
When De Silva launched her blog in 2014, her daughter’s middle name served as her inspiration. “When London was three, I was so obsessed with dressing her up that I simply had to document it,” De Silva noted on her blog. “I mean, toddler fashion? It was too good. Then, almost overnight, our account gained a ton of followers.”
Their son, Rio Dash, was born on April 12, 2017. Both London and Rio frequently feature on their mother’s social media, even participating in sponsored content and campaigns for brands such as Old Navy, Ralph Lauren, and Google.
De Silva mentioned that her children enjoy beach trips and are “the easiest” to travel with. “Anytime my son and daughter can head to the beach, they’re all about it, so they had a really good time too,” she shared with PEOPLE in 2024.
She also highlighted that her kids are “the easiest” during vacations. “Sometimes they’re so quiet that I forget they’re in our hotel room. Like, ‘Hello, is anyone there?'” she added. “My kids are very, very relaxed and chill. They love a good vacation.”
The Bravo star expressed, “They love to sit by the pool. It’s almost like having little mini-adults hanging out with me. Sometimes I wonder, ‘Is it normal that they’re so relaxed and chill?’ I have really good kids.”
When it comes to his privacy, Craig is not often seen in De Silva’s social media posts or on RHONY. She confirmed on her blog that his absence from the spotlight doesn’t indicate a lack of involvement in their marriage or with the children.
“He likes his privacy. In a world where we share everything, it’s nice to have something private in my life,” she wrote. “It keeps my sanity, and I also think having a little mystery is fun. However, he is very involved when it comes to his family, and I think he should win an award for father of the year!”
