Excitement fills the air as the wedding plans for Jassi Rideaux and Darius Harris are underway. Engaged in August, the newcomer from The Real Housewives of Potomac and the three-time Super Bowl champion are busy arranging their nuptials, targeting a May date in Dallas.
“I’m looking forward to focusing on my soon-to-be husband and being grateful for where we are,” Rideaux shares. Reflecting on their relationship, she acknowledges the challenges they faced, including spending time apart due to living in different states. “I’m eager to soak it all in, look stunning in my photos, and celebrate love with friends and family. A wedding is the perfect occasion for that.”
While they plan to share some wedding festivities, Rideaux emphasizes the importance of allowing for individual experiences as well. “My friends are better planners, and I know Darius would be upset to miss out on the private jet and other fun activities,” she explains. “I want him to join us and enjoy himself.”
Considering their social circles, she notes, “Darius and I had a blast with our friends, and I definitely want him to experience all the excitement of the bachelor and bachelorette events. It’s essential that he feels supported and enjoys his bachelor party.”
Joining her in the celebrations, Rideaux confirms that her RHOP castmates will also be part of the wedding festivities. “Of course, the ladies are invited! How could I miss the chance to shine in front of them?” she says, adding that a few special friends will also be invited to her bachelorette party.
As CEO of Chateau Rideaux Inc. and Rideaux Hair, Rideaux has a comprehensive bridal beauty plan in place. “First and foremost, I’ll get a makeup test to ensure I look exactly how I want on the big day. My custom designer, Sheraz Pompey, who has created many of my outfits for this season, will be on hand with his sewing machine to prevent any wardrobe mishaps.”
She reveals plans for multiple dresses, stating, “I’m one of those girls who adores custom-designed outfits. I’ll need a wedding gown, something for the reception, and an extra gown just in case I want a quick change. Having options is important to me.”
Emphasizing her desire for everything to go smoothly, she insists, “There’s no room for errors on my wedding day.” Harris’ proposal was a memorable occasion, as he surprised Rideaux with a birthday celebration that culminated in a romantic moment surrounded by family and friends.
“Walking into that room filled with love and support on my birthday, knowing I was about to be proposed to, was absolutely perfect,” she recalls. “It was a chef’s kiss moment—better than I could have imagined.”
The Dallas Cowboys linebacker created a memorable experience by gifting her a white dress and planning a dinner celebration at Kitchen + Kocktails, where a surprise awaited. Despite the rain, Rideaux embraced the moment.
“It poured on my hair, but I was so touched by his thoughtfulness,” she shares. “As I entered the room, I saw everyone I love, each holding a white rose for me. It was one of the most beautiful and meaningful gestures I’ve ever received.”
Reflecting on the details, she adds, “My photos were displayed everywhere, and the decor was stunning. The effort that went into it was breathtaking.” When Harris proposed, he did so with a stunning custom 3.5-carat diamond ring, which Rideaux describes as “intimidating.”
“One guy told me it was a bit overwhelming, which I think was the point,” she laughs, also playfully referring to her new status as part of the “ringdom,” thanks to Harris’ impressive collection of Super Bowl rings.
Anticipation fills Rideaux as she looks forward to marrying her fiancé. “His commitment and support empower me to feel like I can take on the world,” she expresses. “He provides a calm strength in our lives.”
Rideaux appreciates how Harris leads with humility and dedication, noting, “His thoughtfulness ensures I always feel cherished, even during busy times.” The couple is also beginning to discuss honeymoon destinations, seeking a location Rideaux has yet to visit.
Given her decade-long career as an international flight attendant, this might be a challenge. “We hope the show doesn’t interfere with our plans,” she says, sharing that they are considering Singapore and Bali—two places she has yet to explore.
