While November has arrived, the weather on the East Coast has been unpredictable, leaving many of us unsure of what to wear. Should I go for a dress? A sweater? Maybe jeans? It’s a dilemma. Despite the shift toward more neutral tones and heavier fabrics for the fall, Princess Eugenie demonstrated that a summer staple can effortlessly transition into autumn during her recent visit to Doha, Qatar.
During the trip, Eugenie, who serves as a director at the contemporary art gallery Hauser & Wirth, donned a bright yellow maxi dress by Diane von Furstenberg. She wore the cheerful dress, which is currently on sale, to attend the opening of a vibrant exhibition at Doha’s M7 hub. The museum is hosting the first Middle Eastern retrospective of Ellsworth Kelly’s modern artwork, and Eugenie’s outfit certainly complemented the colorful display.
Standing in front of a rainbow-striped painting, Eugenie posed in her tiered dress, which featured a deep v-neck and flowing skirt. The dress is made from Diane von Furstenberg’s special linen, designed from renewable wood fibers and produced using sustainable methods that reduce water consumption and CO2 emissions—stylish and eco-friendly.
In addition to the Ellsworth Kelly exhibition, Eugenie visited the Chaumet & Nature exhibit, which displayed over 100 pieces from the luxury jeweler’s collection.
While Doha’s weather is warmer than London (or Portugal, where Eugenie resides with her husband, Jack Brooksbank, and their two children, August and Ernest), the bright yellow dress still adds a cheerful touch to an otherwise gloomy fall day.
To style a similar look, pair a vibrant maxi with a blazer and boots or, like Eugenie, opt for casual white sneakers (she seems to be wearing the popular Løci style). Who says work attire can’t be comfortable yet fashionable?
