Beyoncé recently honored Pamela Anderson in her latest music video, following a Halloween filled with tributes to icons such as Betty Davis. The video for her song “Bodyguard,” titled Beywatch, showcases the singer recreating Anderson’s most memorable looks.
In one scene, Beyoncé dons a long blonde wig and channels Anderson’s iconic Barb Wire look, wearing a black strapless catsuit, patent knee-high stiletto boots, and sheer black gloves.
Another moment in the video features Beyoncé sporting a large pink fluffy hat and a white corset, an outfit Anderson wore to the 1999 MTV Video Music Awards. The singer also pays homage to Anderson’s Baywatch character, wearing a red one-piece swimsuit and recreating the famous slow-motion beach run.
Beyoncé added a political twist to the video by encouraging viewers to vote, using a toy gun that released a flag with the word “vote” on it. On October 24, Beyoncé made a surprise appearance at Kamala Harris’ rally in Houston, Texas, delivering an empowering speech to a crowd of over 30,000 people.
The speech was also livestreamed to five million viewers across the United States. “I’m not here as a celebrity,” Beyoncé told the audience. “I’m not here as a politician. I’m here as a mother,” she explained, expressing her deep concern for the world her children and all children will inherit—a world where freedom and unity are prioritized.
During her address, Beyoncé also praised Houston women, saying, “It’s impossible not to feel the energy in this room. We are at the precipice of an incredible shift.” She emphasized the importance of freedom for all, adding, “For all the women and men watching around the country, we need you. Your freedom is your God-given right and your human right.”
