Abby De La Rosa’s young son, Zillion, has a clear appreciation for his dad’s music. On Nov. 6, the 34-year-old DJ posted a video to Instagram showing her 3-year-old son, Zion, enthusiastically playing the piano and singing along to Nick Cannon’s song “No Weapon.”
Zion, dressed in a white shirt and black vest, hit the keys with excitement while his dad’s duet with Kierra Sheard played in the background. “Ladies & Gentlemen, presenting Zion Mixolydian Cannon (3 yrs old) covering his daddy’s version of ‘No Weapon,’” De La Rosa captioned the post, expressing her pride.
De La Rosa and Cannon share three children together: twin sons Zion and Zillion, both 3, and a nearly two-year-old daughter, Beautiful. In honor of World Autism Day in April, Cannon and De La Rosa revealed in a joint Instagram post that their son Zillion had recently been diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD).
They reflected on the unique spirit of their son, describing how he “experiences life in 4D” and brings light to every space he enters, feeling blessed to be part of his journey. In May, De La Rosa addressed questions on her Instagram Stories about Zillion’s autism diagnosis, sharing that her intuition first noticed subtle signs when he was around six or seven months old.
Over time, she observed behaviors such as difficulties with eye contact and repetitive movements, including his first instance of “stimming,” where he flapped his hands in a repetitive manner. She explained that Zillion primarily communicates through his tablet and sign language, using a few spoken words. De La Rosa’s insights illustrate her dedication to understanding and supporting her son’s needs.
