Rep. Jared Moskowitz (D-Fla.) praised Susie Wiles for being named President-elect Trump’s chief of staff on Thursday. In a post on the social platform X, Moskowitz congratulated Wiles, noting, “I worked with Susie in the DeSantis Administration. She is brilliant, tough, and strategic. She will serve the country well.”
Wiles, who has been the co-chair of Trump’s 2024 campaign, brings decades of experience in politics. Her career includes working for a range of political figures such as President Trump, Sen. Rick Scott (R-Fla.), and Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-Fla.).
Trump also expressed his admiration for Wiles in a Thursday statement, saying, “Susie Wiles just helped me achieve one of the greatest political victories in American history, and was an integral part of both my 2016 and 2020 successful campaigns.”
He went on to praise her as “tough, smart, innovative” and “universally admired and respected,” adding that she would continue to tirelessly work to “Make America Great Again.” He also highlighted that Wiles would make history as the first-ever female chief of staff in U.S. history.
Earlier Wednesday, Moskowitz reflected on Wiles’ accomplishments, writing on X that she would be remembered as “one of the greatest campaign strategists,” mentioning that she had been involved in numerous successful Florida campaigns.
