A 26-year-old woman, Makala Lashea Harrison, was found dead from a gunshot wound in her apartment in Asheville, North Carolina, on Friday. The police were called to the scene around 11 a.m. and discovered her body inside. The investigation has revealed that her death was a homicide.
The Asheville Police Department has identified 34-year-old Darren Lamon Clayton as the primary suspect in Harrison’s murder. They are currently attempting to locate him. Clayton is described as 6 feet tall, weighing 185 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. He has a scar on his left forearm and a pierced left ear.
Authorities have warned that Clayton should be considered armed and dangerous, urging the public not to approach him if spotted. Instead, they are advised to immediately contact 911. The police are actively working to track him down.
