Luke Evans, 45, recently opened up about his close bond with Fran Tomas during an appearance on PEOPLE in 10. Reflecting on their relationship, Evans shared how they complement each other perfectly.
According to Evans, “We’re a great team in life. He’s my best friend. He’s the calm, deep waters, and I am the rushing, bubbly water. Between the two of us, we can solve anything.”
The Weekend in Taipei star emphasized their ability to work harmoniously as a couple and even in their shared business ventures, such as their clothing and lifestyle brand, BDXY. For Evans, it felt natural to join forces in business.
Evans and Tomas debuted as a couple at a December 2022 gala, marking a new chapter
“Having a business together just is an extension of our life together,” Evans explained. “We work really well together. He blows my mind. He’s so impressive in everything he does, in the business—and in life.” Evans and Tomas, who is a construction project manager, made their relationship public when they attended a gala together in December 2022.
In a September-October 2024 interview with Out magazine, Evans described Tomas as someone who helps him stay grounded despite his busy lifestyle. “My partner keeps me grounded and keeps me calm in this strange world that I live in,” he said.
Evans went on to praise Tomas further, saying, “He’s a great human being. He’s the best part of me for sure. He’s kind, calm, happy, positive, and hardworking. He literally makes me a better person. And he has to put up with my s—, which I can’t imagine what that would be like.”
