Sofia Richie Grainge recently shared her experiences as a new mom, reflecting on the profound changes in her life. During an appearance on the Therapuss podcast on November 14, the 26-year-old model opened up about her journey into motherhood, including her weight loss and newfound sense of purpose.
Richie Grainge expressed how her life has been transformed by her daughter, Eloise. “My life makes sense now. I’ve never loved anything more in my life,” she said, adding, “I’m obsessed with her, she’s perfect. And I’ve lost 50 pounds. So that happened.”

The model and her husband, Elliot Grainge, welcomed Eloise in May 2024, a few months after their lavish wedding in Antibes, France, in April 2023. She went on to share how she documented her pregnancy journey with weekly photos. “I did weekly update photos. Every Monday. I could literally watch myself grow. It was cute, until it wasn’t,” she laughed, reflecting on the early stages.
While the constant physical changes in her body weren’t always enjoyable at first, she soon found empowerment in the experience. “It was beautiful. I always tell my friends, ‘It got crazy,’ but I was always empowered. I thought, ‘It’s amazing that I can do this,’” she said, revealing that she gained over 60 pounds during pregnancy.
Richie Grainge also joked that she spent much of her time at home and missed out on summer fun. “I didn’t even know that this season happened,” she said with a smile. “The summer season didn’t happen in my mind.”
She also shared a lighthearted moment about Eloise, who is now five months old. Richie Grainge revealed her daughter has a “little baby phone,” and Shane jokingly recounted a recent conversation with Eloise, saying, “I asked her if it was okay to talk about how perfect she is, and she said, ‘No, keep my name out of your mouth.’ I said, ‘Excuse me?’ and she responded, ‘I hate you.’”
Richie Grainge reassured Shane that she had a talk with her daughter to set her straight. In a previous British Vogue interview, Richie Grainge explained that motherhood hasn’t altered her sense of style. “I’m super confident and comfortable in the way that I dress. If anything, my bag is just a lot fuller,” she said, reflecting her continued confidence in her fashion choices despite her new role as a mother.
