Erin Lichy’s three children were eager to expand the family, just as much as she was. At Bravo Fan Fest in Miami, the Real Housewives of New York City star, 37, shared with PEOPLE how her kids—sons Levi, 9, Elijah, 4, and daughter Layla, 7—enthusiastically asked her and her husband Abe for another sibling.
“They begged us to get pregnant,” Erin explained. Recalling the moment, she said, “They were like, ‘Please, we really want another baby!’” Erin laughed, adding, “I was like, ‘You do? But this means less toys, less attention. What’s wrong with you?’ Yet, they insisted!”
Reflecting on her fourth pregnancy, Erin noted that it’s been tougher than the first three, primarily because of the exhaustion from managing her busy family. “It’s harder because I’m just so tired, but it’s familiar now,” she admitted. “It’s easier, though—been there, done that.”
This time around, Erin’s food cravings have been much more manageable. “I’ve had fewer strong cravings, which is a relief,” she said, noting that she’s now craving “healthier things, like fresh food.” Earlier this month, Erin announced exclusively to PEOPLE that she and Abe are expecting their fourth child. She expressed confidence about handling the chaos of having four kids.
“It feels like adding another act to the circus!” she joked. “Life’s been so busy with work that I haven’t had much time to think about how things will change, but I think it’ll be pretty seamless. Three vs. four kids doesn’t seem too scary.”
When asked about what she’s most looking forward to, Erin laughed, “I’m just excited for a Mezcalum cocktail and a big sushi dinner again!” Finally, Erin shared the moment she realized she was expecting. “I was out East with Abe and some friends when I suddenly became really sensitive to smells. That’s when I knew—’Damn, here we go again!'”
