Swifties are Convinced Travis Kelce Prioritized Streaming the Final Eras Tour Show Over Post-Game Interviews

Travis Kelce rushes through interviews as fans speculate he’s eager to catch Taylor Swift’s final performance

Fans of Taylor Swift believe Travis Kelce was eager to finish his post-game interviews in order to catch a livestream of his girlfriend’s final Eras Tour performance on Sunday. The Kansas City Chiefs player, 35, had to miss Swift’s concluding show in Vancouver while competing against the Los Angeles Chargers. After narrowly winning the game 19-17, reporters approached Kelce in the locker room.

During the interview, Kelce seemed preoccupied, frequently glancing around the room, turning toward his locker, and hesitating in his responses. Swifties quickly took to social media to speculate that he was hurrying through the interviews to join Swift’s livestream.

In a playful twist, Swift pays tribute to Kelce with a special lyric change during her last concert of the Eras Tour

One fan commented on X, “HOMIE JUST WANTS TO GET ON A LIVE STREAM, LEAVE HIM ALONE,” alongside a photo of Kelce looking away from the reporters. Another added, “Trav’s about to knock these reporters out. GET THIS MAN A LIVESTREAM NOW.”

“Let that boy get his friendship bracelets and merch on,” a different user stated, while another quipped, “his eyes are screaming sissies hurry tf UP she’s in the folklore cabin already omfg,” referring to the “Folklore” segment of the setlist.

A further comment reiterated the urgency: “he was NOT missing 1989 omfg get that man home to see blank space one last time.” Kelce finished the press conference quickly, which meant he might have caught the latter half of the show at B.C. Place in Canada.

Some fans speculated that he was likely to board a flight to see Swift immediately after her concert, although it remains unclear whether he stayed in Kansas City, Missouri, or traveled elsewhere.

Despite his absence, Swift made sure to give Kelce a special shoutout during her performance by changing the lyrics of her song “Karma” to say, “Karma is the guy on the Chiefs coming straight home to me.”

On Sunday night, Swift achieved a historic milestone by concluding her record-breaking global tour, which amassed $2 billion in ticket sales and attracted 10 million attendees.

During the show, she expressed, “This is the most fun, joyful, exciting, intense, powerful, and wonderful tour I have ever done, and that’s all because of the way you have treated it.” She acknowledged that this was her longest tour to date, having never played so many shows before, attributing the experience to her fans who made it unforgettable.

The “Cruel Summer” singer expressed gratitude for the friendship bracelet trend that became a hallmark of the Eras Tour. “I want to thank every single one of you for being a part of the most thrilling chapter of my life so far,” she stated before performing her final song.

Swift launched her iconic Eras Tour more than a year and a half ago, kicking off in March 2023 in Glendale, Arizona, and has since played over 150 shows across five continents.
