Aaron Taylor-Johnson has garnered praise for his chivalrous behavior towards Ariana DeBose. During the New York premiere of their new superhero film, Kraven The Hunter, on December 10, the 34-year-old Golden Globe winner was caught on video assisting DeBose when her shoe got caught in her mesh dress while they posed for fans at the AMC Lincoln Square Theater.
A TikTok clip shared by user thehijabibounder went viral, showing Johnson and the 33-year-old actress standing side by side as she attempted to discreetly free her foot from the fabric.
After offering her his hand and sharing a smile, Aaron adjusted her dress from behind and placed a reassuring hand on her back before they continued with the evening, sharing a lighthearted moment together.
For the event, Aaron opted for a stylish black button-down, black dress pants, and a burgundy blazer, while DeBose dazzled in a sheer mesh dress paired with black shorts. The TikTok video included text overlay stating, “One minute of ATJ being a perfect gentleman.”
The TikTok user, whose real name is Sabeen, captioned the video, “But y’all don’t know what it was like to witness this. Kraven The Hunter is also a perfect gentleman, unless you are on his list! The movie is good! Go watch it because I need to know what happens next!”
In Kraven The Hunter, which also stars Fred Hechinger, Alessandro Nivola, Christopher Abbott, and Russell Crowe, Aaron portrays a character who grapples with a complicated relationship with his ruthless gangster father, leading him on a path of vengeance. This journey transforms him into not only the greatest hunter in the world but also one of its most feared. The film is set to be released in theaters on December 13.
At the premiere, Aaron and his wife, Sam Taylor-Johnson, 57, were accompanied by her two eldest daughters, Angelica, 27, and Jessie, 18. The couple coordinated their outfits, both donning black and burgundy ensembles for the occasion.
Sam shares her elder daughters with ex-husband Jay Jopling, while she and Aaron, who tied the knot in 2012, have two daughters together: Wylda, 13, and Romy, 12.
In an April interview with The Guardian, Sam mentioned that their daughters appear unfazed by the age difference in their relationship. “Not really,” she responded when asked about any potential backlash they might face. “Or, if so, I don’t think they care. They see two loving, happy parents, so it doesn’t really register. They just think people are a bit mean or mad.”
In August, Aaron discussed fatherhood with Esquire, recalling that he always envisioned having children at a young age. “I was going to have a big family,” he reflected. “I knew I was going to be a young father. I knew I was going to have many kids.”
