Exploring Christina Haack’s Marital Journey: Tarek El Moussa, Ant Anstead, and Josh Hall

Christina Haack reflects on her third divorce after nearly three years with Josh Hall

The recent end of Christina Haack’s marriage to Josh Hall highlights her third breakup since she gained fame on HGTV in 2013. The former couple was together for nearly three years before Josh initiated divorce proceedings, citing “irreconcilable differences,” as reported by PEOPLE. As of December 2024, their divorce process remains unresolved.

Before her relationship with Josh, Christina was previously married to Tarek El Moussa, her co-star on Flip or Flop, from 2009 until 2016. Their rise to fame began with the premiere of their HGTV show in 2013, making their eventual separation surprising to fans who had watched them develop their careers and family life together on screen, sharing a daughter and a son.

From real estate to romance, Christina’s marriages highlight her decade of highs and lows

Following the conclusion of her marriage to Tarek in January 2018, Christina married Ant Anstead, a co-host on Wheeler Dealers, in December of the same year. They were married for two years and welcomed a son during that time before parting ways in November 2020.

In July 2021, reports surfaced confirming that Christina was dating someone new, and just two months later, she announced her engagement to Josh Hall, a former police officer who transitioned to real estate.

They exchanged vows in a private ceremony in 2021, later celebrating with friends and family in Hawaii in September 2022. However, less than three years later, they separated, marking Christina’s third divorce within a decade. An overview of Christina Haack’s marriages to Tarek El Moussa, Ant Anstead, and Josh Hall reveals significant aspects of her romantic history.

From April 2009 to December 2016, Christina and Tarek’s relationship evolved quickly. They met in 2005 while working as real estate agents and soon began living together by October 2006, as Christina later shared with Good Housekeeping.

They wed in April 2009, and their first child, Taylor Reese, was born in September 2010. A few years later, they welcomed their son, Brayden James, in August 2015. Their mutual passion for real estate led them to pitch a house-flipping concept that eventually became the successful HGTV series Flip or Flop, which aired for ten seasons and combined their personal and professional lives.

Despite their career success, their relationship faced considerable obstacles. An incident in May 2016, involving a gun altercation at their home, prompted police involvement, although Tarek later clarified it was a misunderstanding.

This event proved pivotal, resulting in their separation announcement later that year, with Tarek filing for divorce in January 2017. After their divorce was finalized in January 2018, they co-parented their children and continued collaborating on Flip or Flop until its conclusion in 2022.

In May 2024, Christina and Tarek revealed plans for a new show, The Flip Off, featuring both pairs alongside Tarek’s current wife, Heather Rae El Moussa, who was previously part of Selling Sunset. The series will showcase the couples competing in home flipping, set to debut in 2025, though Christina and Josh’s separation raises questions about its impact.

Christina’s romance with British TV host Ant Anstead began in November 2017, becoming public knowledge in January 2018. They surprised friends and family with a winter-themed wedding at their Newport Beach home in December 2018.

In September 2019, they welcomed their son, Hudson London. However, by September 2020, Christina announced their separation after less than two years of marriage. Their divorce was finalized in June 2021, with joint custody of Hudson.

On Instagram, Christina expressed the difficulty of their decision to part ways, stating, “Ant and I have made the difficult decision to separate. We are grateful for each other, and as always, our children will remain our priority.” Following the divorce, Ant shared his new perspective, noting how it prompted a reevaluation of what truly mattered in life.

Christina Haack’s marriage to Ant Anstead was marked by a shared love for family and a brief union

After the end of his marriage to Christina, Ant began dating actress Renée Zellweger in June 2021. Beginning in July 2021, Christina’s relationship with realtor Josh Hall developed swiftly after her split from Ant. Sources noted a strong connection between the two, indicating they enjoyed getting to know one another without external distractions.

Their engagement was confirmed in September 2021, leading to a secret marriage later that year and a celebratory ceremony in Hawaii in September 2022. The couple frequently shared moments from their lives on social media, and Josh appeared on Christina’s HGTV spinoff, Christina in the Country, during its inaugural season in 2023.

Despite their seemingly happy life together, they ended their marriage in July 2024, with Josh requesting spousal support as indicated in legal documents acquired by PEOPLE. Less than three weeks after their divorce became public, Josh moved out of their Newport Beach residence.

The ongoing contentious divorce proceedings saw both Christina and Josh publicly addressing one another on social media. In August 2024, Christina reacted to a hopeful message Josh shared on Instagram, quipping, “I ‘HOPE’ she pays me millions more than what she’s already offered me.”

In an October 2024 filing, Christina claimed Josh requested $65,000 per month in child support, a claim he refuted by stating her “legal declarations” were filled with inaccuracies.

A preview of the The Flip Off series, set to debut in December 2024, showed Christina breaking down in tears while confiding in Tarek about her struggles with Josh, admitting, “things with Josh have been bad for a long time.” She shared how her children urged her to leave Josh, saying, “They told me he’s not nice to me. Why would I stick around? I feel like I’m in a tornado all the time and I just can’t get out of it.”
