Love Island All Stars is back for its second season, and ITV is bringing back Curtis Pritchard, the guy known for making everyone coffee in the morning. It’s been six years since he was last on the show, and now he’s returning to the villa for another chance at love.
If you’re like us, you may remember his coffee-making skills, but you might need a reminder about Curtis. This is your guide to everything Curtis, including what happened with his breakup from Maura Higgins and what he’s been doing since season five.
What happened with Curtis on Love Island the last time?
Curtis joined the villa on the first night with Tommy Fury, both being the first bombshells of the season. He initially paired up with Amy, and their relationship got pretty serious quickly.
However, toward the end of the show, Curtis realized that he didn’t have the same feelings for Amy as she did for him, and he wanted to get to know Maura better. As a result, he broke up with Amy and started seeing Maura. They ended up making it to the final and finished in fourth place.
Why did Curtis and Maura break up?
Curtis and Maura left Love Island as a couple and stayed together for eight months before breaking up in March 2020.
After the breakup, Maura explained to Fabulous that their busy schedules were the main reason they split up.
“Curtis and I barely saw each other,” she said. “At the beginning, it was very, very hard because I was so besotted with him, and we never got to see each other. When we did, it was really nice because you got the time to miss somebody. But sometimes it would be two weeks. You know when you’re in a relationship and you know someone’s day to day? We were that busy that we didn’t, and it was strange.”
Maura was later asked about her relationship with Curtis after her time on I’m a Celebrity. During an interview with The Sunday Times, Maura was asked if her relationship with Curtis was a “true passion,” to which she answered: “no.”

In 2023, Curtis and Maura were brought together again when Curtis participated in the Love Island Games, a show Maura co-hosted. After Curtis left the series, Maura conducted his post-exit interview, and it was clear things were a little awkward between them.
Why has Curtis returned to Love Island?
Before Curtis entered the villa, he explained that he was ready to settle down and hoped to find the love of his life in South Africa.
“I feel like I’m in a different stage in my life. The idea of settling down is a serious idea in my life right now,” he said. “I haven’t found my true love… that sounds so cheesy doesn’t it. So, I thought, let’s give it another go. It was great fun last time; a lot of emotions. I feel excited to go back. I’m going to have a great fun time and hopefully leave with someone. It’s exciting.”

Before Curtis went on Love Island, he was a professional ballroom dancer on Ireland’s version of Dancing With The Stars.
After Love Island, Curtis appeared on the BBC dancing show The Greatest Dancer as the receptionist. He also had a short appearance on Hollyoaks, took part in The Challenge UK, and competed on Love Island Games in 2023.
