Grown-ish is a teen comedy series that airs on Freeform. It is the spin-off of the original series Black-ish. It focuses on Zoey Johnson’s life in college and the adventures that follow. Zoey celebrates her 21st birthday, and the theme is a costumed party where she dresses up as Aaliyah. But before she could blow the candles, she passes out. The girl asks if she is okay, and she responds that she is fine. But she has been studying for her finals, planning Joey Bada$$’s big show, and she and Aaron are not on speaking terms, so the stress has been taking a toll on her a lot. Aaron comes in to check on her while she is lying down, meaning that they might get back together at some point. What happened in Episode 8?
Zoey tells Aaron that he has been a better friend to her than anyone else. She apologizes to him, and he forgives her. She mentions that Joey Bada$$ wants her to plan a tour for him, and this is adding more to her responsibilities. Aaron says that if there is too much on her plate, then something needs to give. Being an adult means knowing how to balance things and cut things loose. Later, Zoey comes back to the party and announces that she is dropping out of Cal U.

But her friends think that this is a bad idea. Zoey says that she already has her dream job, so what does she need college for. Luca agrees with her, and Zoey expects Jillian to back her up. Jillian responds that she would miss her finals, but she won’t drop out of college altogether. She does say that they are in different fields, so Zoey should be alright. Ana mentions that Zoey should think about how her parents will feel, but Zoey says that being an adult means she has to make her own choices and whether it makes her happy.
The next day, Zoey is on her way to the dean’s office when she comes across Luca. Luca says that the college won’t be the same without her if she chooses to leave. Zoey tells him that he and Jillian will make a cute couple. In the Dean’s office, he tells her that she has one more week to make a decision, but Zoey tells him that the decision is final; she is officially dropping out. Aaron waits for her outside the office. Aaron feels guilty for making Zoey do this, but Zoey thanks him for this. They both later share a kiss.
The episode ends with Zoey and Nomi face timing each other as Zoey is about to tell what happened at her party, Nomi’s water breaks.
When will Grown-ish Season 3 Episode 9 come out?
The 9th episode will come out on January 21st, 2021. It will focus on Zoey finally moving out of college and focusing on her dream job, especially planning a tour for Joey Bada$$ and where her relationship with Aaron will go. All the episodes are now airing on Freeform.
