The last chapter opens with Iharu feeling conflicted over the test results of Reno’s assimilation with weapon no. 8. His inferiority complex towards reno makes him feel relieved over the test results, but he quickly snaps out of it and gets to work. When the story shifts to where kaiju run amok, the captain and his assistant assess the situation and give out orders to subdue the kaiju in the area. However, the whole purpose of today’s assault is to see how well Reno handles the new suit. Captain’s assistant remarks that he is a prodigy compared to others. Captain dismisses her remark, saying practice and theory are not the same as a real battle, and that’s why fans are looking forward to Kaiju Number 8, Chapter 61.
Captain tells the team to attack Kaiju. Reno’s suit gives him unparalleled speed over anyone on the team. Seeing this, Iharu unleashes his suit to full power. Reno has difficulty, in the beginning, handling the situation and is pressured by producing Kaiju does a sudden attack. Reno is saved in the nick of time by Iharu, who takes on enormous Kaiju after helping. Surprised by another Kaiju, he then is left feeling helpless as Reno has gained his calm. Reno gives his gratitude to Iharu.
Kaiju Number 8 Chapter 61
The next chapter of Kaiju number 8 will have us see how well Reno assimilates with weapon number 6. He had had enough training to move around the armor, but time being a constraint, Reno would have to be careful. Iharu’s conflicting feelings may also find a direction or lack of it. The coming chapter can set up the groundwork for future events.
Not a few chapters ago in Kaiju no. 8, we see JDF discussing how to deal with the increasing threat of Kaijus. And most probably, finding out means to counter them. Kaiju no. 10 had said it would go forth and produce more varieties. Meanwhile, Kaiju no.9 has gone into hiding, and due to him being sentient, he has chosen a place where humans can’t reach it. The last few chapters also lacked Kafka. His coming back to the front end of the story is something we will see. Not only that, if Reno had assimilated successfully with weapon no. 6, their companionship could take a turn for the better.
