The fight between Kaido and Luffy rages on as the Kaido’s islands float in the air aflame. With the way, things turned out, the wait for One Piece Chapter 1048 seems to elongate. Not to mention Eiichiro Oda, author of one piece, went to another break after the last chapter. But we won’t have to wait much longer as the new branch will be available online next week. And if you have only been reading manga and have not watched anime or dropped it long ago, now is the time to catch up. There is nothing like watching your favorite scenes from manga beautifully animated, and right now, anime quality is magnificent.
While Luffy has just awakened to his new powers, Kaido has much more experience with them, which deters the fight in his favor. Luffy has gotten a new arsenal at his disposal to throw at Kaido, like Gum Gum Lightning but Kaido easily dodges it. Kaido explains to Luffy he doesn’t have what it took to be the pirate kind while implying Devil fruit’s powers are nothing in the extended scheme. Meanwhile, we see Momo’s flashback to when his castle was burned in the fire. Recalling those memories, Momo finds himself even less capable of subduing the fire created by Kaido.
One Piece Chapter 1048
The last chapter focused on a few characters, and it showcased Luffy and Kaido’s fight while showing Momo’s past. One Piece Chapter 1048 is titled “20 years”, showing the events that occurred 20 years ago in the story. It would have been ironic if the chapter was titled 25 years instead, as the series will be reaching that landmark this year. From the flashback we saw in the last chapter, it is safe to deduce the focus of the chapter. Momo’s past contains a hint to the situation unfolding in today’s events. And judging by how flashbacks go, Momo will undoubtedly gain the resolve to save everyone on the crashing island.
