It’s hard to conjure that this series is about to end already. What started as a subversion of the Iseka genre evolved into a story of adventure and conspiracy. Stories like these remind me of old fantasy animes, something I didn’t I have been wanting till watching this. The way magic system is one of the unique ones that I have come across. But what I love about it is how it shows how a person can matter from person to person. Though Executioner And Her Way Of Life Episode 12 is the last episode of the season, I hope it gets season two soon. Menou is what a capable mage should be, and if it were not for her with her mastery of ether, the show wouldn’t be as fun.
And as we saw in the last episode, her mastery can go beyond controlling her ether; she can easily channel the amount exceeding her limit. However, we also get to see Pandemonium not just be a silly villain but an actual obstacle in the way of characters. She has given a hint to Akari to help save Menou and herself. But she also misled Menou and made her resolute in killing Akari. How will the two face each other now that they have conflicting knowledge?
The Executioner And Her Way Of Life Episode 12
Episode 12 of The Executioner And Her Way Of Life will be a good ending to a good show. To the first season at least. JC outdid themselves this time and gave us a show outside their comfort zone. The show manages to hook us from episode one as the typical Isekai protagonist is murdered grotesquely in the middle of the first episode. We learn this world fears otherworlders and have prepared a unit just to deal with them. Though Menou is not convincing as a bloodthirsty executioner, her charms lie in her deception. She has shown that not only in how she conducts her missions but the way she fights. She never uses the same trick twice but uses the same spell nevertheless. The author of the novel has a good sense of fight choreography but props to the JC staff for adapting it well.
Episode 12 of The Executioner And Her Way Of Life will see Akari and Menou’s mission come closer to fruition. Menou is now more resolved to kill Akari but Akari now knows there is a way to save Menou. Though the series has slightly hinted who the final boss will be, it can still be hiding something under its sleeve. Only the next episode will tell what it will be.
