The past few episodes have been about the school trip and Komi going on her first-ever school trip. Though she was shy about going, Tadano’s encouragement helped her decide to go in the end. Despite assuming that nobody would want to be with her, she was proven wrong. The whole class (females only) requested to be paired with her, but the decision was made by lottery. Thus, Komi ended up with two people she had never been with. A good outcome for her, somewhat. Because neither they nor she knows how to break the ice, luckily, they came along during the duration of the trip, and Komi made two new friends.
The last episode was cruciating for Tadano as it was Valentine’s day. Watching everyone exchange chocolate and greeting made him feel uneasy cause he was sure someone would give him. To his shock, nobody offered him chocolate other than Katai. And him being a guy, the chocolate doesn’t count. Fortunately for him, the surprise is remedied before Episode 11 of season 2. Cause by the end of the episode, he is offered some by Komi at the end of the day.

As I said earlier, Episode 11 of Komi can’t communicate. Season 2 will have four mini-episodes. Meaning it will be much more focused on comedy and light-hearted exchange. Things have been a bit intense, but they nevertheless managed to get a smile out of me. Perhaps that is why Komi continues to be one of the top-rated anime of the season. But in future episodes, some seriousness might follow as their first year is about to end.
In the Japanese school system, the student body is shuffled every time they move to the next grade. With the next year approaching, Komi and Tadano might get separated; if they don’t, many of the characters will. But whether Najami will be shuffled out or not is of importance. They are the main driver of the story to bring people together. Then again, it won’t matter to Najami as they decide where they want to be.

And just like other Netflix exclusives, Episode 11 of Komi can’t share will only be available for the time the series airs. The dub version of the anime is delayed, much to many fans’ disbelief and frustration. Netflix has announced it will release it soon, but the dub was already three weeks postponed. Komi can’t communicate features Komi. She has difficulty expressing herself to others. She is mistaken to be an elite above everyone else and doesn’t need to concern herself with commoners, while everyone wants her recognition. Komi is none of it. However, due to the misunderstanding going on for so long, she can’t bring herself to say that. This changed in her first high school when she met Tadano, who is good at reading mood. He had the same impression of her, but he realized the truth after an awkward event and misunderstanding with her. Komi expresses she wants to have friends, a hundred of them; Tadano promises he will help her and becomes her first friend.
